SSC MTS 2017 Eligibility Criteria
SSC MTS Eligibilty Criteria: The eligibility criteria for SSC MTS 2016 Examination is set by Staff Selection Commission. Each and every candidate who will be applying for SSC MTS 2016 Examination has to fulfill this criteria. Failure to do so will deem the candidate ineligible for SSC MTS 2016 Exam.
SSC MTS Eligibility Criteria 2016 consists a set of requirements and clauses in terms of Nationality, age and educational qualification. Let us have a look at it.
- Citizen of India, or
- Subject of Nepal, or
- Subject of Bhutan, or
- Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : ( As on 01.08.2017)
Must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board.
Note: Candidates who have not acquired but will acquire the educational qualification and acquire documentary evidence from the Board/University in support thereof as on 01.08.2017 will also be eligible.
What is the Age Limit for SSC MTS Paper I 2016?
One of the most important considerations under eligibility criteria is the age eligibility criteria. As per the official notification,18-25 years as on 01.08.2017 (i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1992 and not later than 01.08.1999) . However, with a view to safeguard the interest of the minorities certain age relaxations have been offered to them. The same is mentioned below:

It should be noted that for the purpose of computation of age, the date is 01.08.2017. The age of the candidate should be calculated from 01.08.2017 as specifically mentioned in the official notification.Note: Date of birth as recorded in the secondary school certificate or an equivalent certificate will be accepted by the commission.
Eligibility/Permissible disability for PH candidates:
One Leg affected (OL), One Arm affected (OA), One Arm One Leg affected (OAL), Both Leg Affected but not Arm (BL), Blind(B), Low Vision (LV), Hearing (H), Communication (C) are eligible of the post of Multi Tasking Staff.
